FALLING WATER WITH PLANKS

This famous house by Frank Lloyd Wright was built into a cliff, on top of a waterfall. Parts of the water and rock beds emerge inside the house as well. Wright referred to his work as "Organic Architecture.” The house is under maintenance and repair all year round, weather permitting (referenced in this version with planks).

The sheep depicted here is Dolly, the first cloned animal. She stands with her baby, Bonnie, whose father was biological, and who went on to have babies of her own, adding to a new hybrid line of sheep.

This man-made island in Dubai, in the shape of a Palm Frond, is totally constructed from landfill to create multiple dwellings of waterfront property. It has already begun to succumb to aggressive erosion.

Robert Smithson’s famous ‘earthwork,’ a landfill jetty, was built out into the Great Salt Lake in Utah. It was soon submerged, under water for 30 years, to reemerge in a new eroded form and encrusted with salt.

Robert Smithson’s famous ‘earthwork,’ a landfill jetty, was built out into the Great Salt Lake in Utah. It was soon submerged, under water for 30 years, to reemerge in a new eroded form and encrusted with salt. In this version the image is split, it goes in and out of focus as it moves across the “set” of shag carpet and white painted lumber.
